Josh. picked up the guitar quite early, but started by playing Beethoven on it. It took inspiration by Eric Clapton, Paco de Lucia and Bruce Springsteen to really get him engaged with the instrument. Soon he combined his rising passion for pop and rock songwriting with a five year long study program of jazz. But jazz soon became too elitist for him as well. Josh. did not want to believe that music can only be good, if "played right". His collaboration with the singer Kathi Kallauch (Kein Sommer für einen allein) became a summer radio hit in Austria and brought Josh. to his production team Echopilot. In their studio, by working with them closely, Josh. was able to find his own voice and his personal sound within all the contradictions that come with being a musician Vienna.
