Jing Lekker

Jing Lekker is a DJ, composer, writer and live performer from Taiwan. She discovered her passion for music at an early age, working in a jazz and classical music store in Taipei and contributing to the LVI exhibition organized to raise awareness of vinyl, while Jing Lekker was also studying graphic printing.

To pursue her curiosity for music, Jing Lekker had to leave her home country and move to Europe. Jing Lekker followed her natural path in life, solidifying her foundation through encounters along the way. Shortly after arriving in Berlin, Jing Lekker founded the electronic dream pop band Polygothica with her close friend Dilijana. Jing Lekker is also part of the performance collective UNDO together with Bifi Boy, Birds and Tapes, Dj Nytanata, Otto Oscar Hernandez Ruiz and visual artist Christian Starz. She creates environments for UNDO's experiments in various cities, while pursuing her path as a solo artist who can be described as a facilitator of sounds rather than a DJ or live performer.

Jing Lekker is a writer of short stories and poetry. Jing Lekker explains, "Writing is a part of me. I like to write a sentence, imagine situations, create surprises, construct lost and found, which can then be incorporated into my music productions and performances." After numerous performances at underground events, festivals and clubs in Berlin, Weimar, Hamburg and Taipei, such as Fusion Festival, Nacht Digital, Kranichie, West Germany, Co Han Shop, Korner and many more.
