Jens Fischer Rodrian
Fischer is a composer, musician and producer. After a seven-year stay in the US (Los Angeles, New York and Boston) and studies at the Dick Grove School of Music (guitar, composition and arrangement), he has been the musical director of the Blue Man Group in Berlin since 2004. Here he also has his Kofferstudio. He is a passionate long-time musical companion of very different artists.
Everything that is produced in Fischer's Kofferstudio is handmade, self recorded or recorded with guest musicians. The mixture of romantic motifs, originally produced grooves, unexpected harmony and melody changes, unusual instruments (objects from the junkyard or the hardware store are very popular for his recordings) and his analogue sound aesthetics are typical features of his productions. Sample and midi tools are not part of his Kofferstudio.
In addition to his 5 solo albums, two of which he produced with his longtime duo partner Gerd Baumann, he can be heard on over 40 records as a musician and arranger. He has produced over 20 albums and various songs for artists such as jazz singer Alexa Rodrian, Konstantin Wecker, Tim Neuhaus, Clueso, Boundzound, Flo Holoubek, Max Prosa, Garry Oldman, Blue Man Group featuring Stefanie Heinzmann, Katja Riemann, and others.
