Jan Jelinek

Elektronika, Experimental | He was born in Darmstadt and then moved to Berlin. His approach to music is based mainly on transforming sounds, transferring pop parameters into abstract, reduced and structured electronics. While observing the principles of traditional musicality, Jelinek creates collages from tiny fragments of sounds from samplers, tape recorders, media players and other recording devices. The artist often uses loops and gentle modulation to expose the essence of the piece and to outline it and at the same time hide its source.
