Incantation
As American death metal became increasingly refined, technical and precise in the early 1990s, Incantation swam against the tide and settled in the underground. Playing murderous death on maximum low-end tuning, noise and chaos, they achieved cult status, inspiring bands like Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, and Portal. The only constant member of the band is guitarist (and, since 2002, vocalist) John McEntee; Incantation have released eleven studio albums and played shows around the world in their more than thirty years of existence.
