Hani Mojtahedi

Hani is a well-known Kurdish singer from Sanandaj, a small town in the Iranian province of Kordestân. Based on her studies in traditional Persian music, she started her professional career as a singer.

Despite obstacles due to religious laws in Iran, Hani Mojtahedi sought to lead a free life and gave several concerts. Due to the restrictions in her artistic work in Iran, she moved to Berlin in 2014. Since then she has released several albums and music videos and has appeared worldwide in TV shows, festivals and concerts. In her music, Hani Mojtahedi brings together traditional Persian elements with Kurdish lyrics.
