Giedrė Šlekytė
Giedrė Šlekytė was born in Vilnius in 1989 and began her musical education at the National Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Art Grammar School. She studied conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Prof. Johannes Prinz and Prof. Martin Sieghart), at the University of Music and Performing Arts Leipzig (Prof. Ulrich Windfuhr and Prof. Matthias Foremny) and at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she spent one semester completed with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli. Since the 2016/17 season, Giedrė Šlekytė has been engaged as the first Kapellmeister at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt.
