The Me Collectors Room Berlin/ Olbricht foundation is an exhibition venue that was founded by the medic, Wella inherit and art collector Thomas Olbricht, and opened on May 1st 2010 in Berlin. The gallery shows exhibits of Olbricht’s private art collection, the Olbricht Collection, as well as works out of other international, private collections, in changing exhibitions. The Olbricht Collection is one of the largest private art collections in Europe and contains works from the Beginning of the 16th century up until very recent contemporary art. Besides big names like Thomas Schütte, Cindy Sherman, Marlene Dumas or Gerhard Richter, you’ll find young international artists, still unknown in the German art scene. Works out of nearly all artistic fields are represented in the Olbricht Collection: paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, as well as video art.
