BQ
The BQ gallery is located near the Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz at Weydingerstraße 10. The founders Jörn Bötnagel and Yvonne Quirmbach, from whose initials the name BQ stems, already work together since 1995. At that time, they started organizing exhibition at temporary venues in Cologne. In 1998, they founded an initially small gallery space, BQ, that moved to a bigger venue in the center of Cologne and started to work on a commercial base in 2002. In 2009, the gallery moved from Cologne to Berlin, in the beginning again with temporary exhibition venues. Since 2011, BQ has its permanent location at Berlin-Mitte.
