Art in the activities of the Cultural Centre ZAMEK functions mainly in the following two areas: education and exhibitions. The Centre offers art classes for children, youth and adults devoted to fine arts (painting, drawing) and ceramics (sculptures made by course participants can be fired in a special furnace). Works of professional artists are shown at the ZAMEK Gallery. It exhibits above all pieces by Polish and foreign creators, who represent various trends in modern art (painting, sculpture, video art, performance). The palace’s exhibition space is also used for presenting art of recognized classics; so far it has shown works by Dali, Chagall, Picasso, Renoire and Nikifor.
