Gajek combines abstraction and improvisation of electronic music from the 70s and a perspective firmly rooted in the digital present in his music. He explores the past's utopias and possible tomorrows.
Besides releasing music through imprints such as Monkeytown or Infinite Greyscale, Matti Gajek is a member of the New Composers Collective alongside colleagues like Mouse on Mars and Michael Rauter. They write movie soundtracks, create video installations and organize performances.
