Gailė Griciūtė
Gailė Griciūtė is a composer, sound artist and improviser pianist from Lithuania, dealing with broadly understood music and contemporary art. Gailė studied piano at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, explored the arcana of art under the direction of Douglas Gordon in Frankfurt's Städelschule, learned the secrets of composition at the Music Academy in Vilnius, and taught piano at Bhutan for a year. The artist composes music, collaborates with visual artists and improvises on a prepared piano. Recently, she founded the experimental duo Eye Gymnastics together with Viktorija Damerell, which is one of the most interesting bands of the Lithuanian art scene of the last few years.
