From Palestine with love: Sama

She is called the Palestinian techno queen. Pioneer of the underground techno scene there, previously known as Skywalker. First Palestine - DJ. It was she who initiated the techno-stream in Ramalla at West Bank, when in 2006 she made her first steps as a DJ to take up her productions four years later. These technical skills, acquired thanks to the completion of music studies, combined with her extraordinary personality and sensitivity make her productions so unique.

Her story, however, was not a simple way to the top. The Samy family lived in exile until 1994 when her father was allowed to return to the country. As a teenager, she survived the second Palestinian uprising against Israel, which gathered harvests in thousands of victims. He remembers the soldiers taking over her house well or getting rainwater to survive. Its origin - due to the papers and visas required for travel - also blocked her musical career until moving to Paris.
