Freygish Orchestra
The Freygish Orchestra grew in 2016 from the MiniOrkiestra, a Toruń klezmer band. It continues the traditions of the Mini Orchestra by playing klezmer music. It also extends its interests to traditional Balkan, Greek and Turkish music. The common denominator for combining the music of these different cultures is the musical scale used equally often in each of them, called in Jewish freygish, hence the name of the band.
