Fehrbelliner Platz

Fehrbelliner Platz is a traffic junction in Berlin's Wilmersdorf district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. It is located at the intersection of Hohenzollerndamm and Brandenburgische Straße. The square was named after the Battle of Fehrbellin of 1675, in which the troops of the Great Elector forced the Swedish invasion force to retreat from the Mark Brandenburg.

After the formation of Greater Berlin in 1920 incorporated the previously independent town of Wilmersdorf, the comparatively low land prices made the conveniently located city square attractive for space-intensive new administrative buildings. The subway connection, which had existed since 1913, further enhanced the value of the location.
