Evidence Quintet
Evidence Quintet is a fresh phenomenon in the Czech jazz scene. The band was founded in Prague in late 2013, and connects the five young musicians diverse musical backgrounds. The repertoire of the band consists of original songs alto saxophonist John Feča, Jan Kyncl tenor saxophonist and pianist John Steinsdorfer, who in his work based on the jazz tradition - from swing through bebop to modal jazz - but let themselves be inspired by contemporary jazz, classical music, or even Cardas. Evidence Quintet, whose other two articles are double bassist Matthew Black and drummer Oliver Lipenský, highlights the vigor of administration, the mutual interaction of music, natural rhythms and earthy groove.
