Engyn is running the Outcast Oddity imprint. Like his releases on the label, his music is building a bridge between difficult and functional, emotional and exhausting, beautiful and painful. Through techno music he deals with complex emotions, with his aim in DJing and live performances to induce a certain melancholic and healing state of trance.
In 2017 Engyn released his first longplayer, Leaving Flenwood, an introspective into his vision of electronic melancholy. He wrote the album after a difficult episode of his life when he was emotionally and physically exhausted. He tried to capture his melancholy and depressive episodes with a certain vision of synthesizers acting like the human voice.
