Teatr Studio
The gallery, Galeria Studio, has been revived by a new manager, Agnieszka Zawadowska (the most important gallery events have included a Jerzy Grzegorzewski retrospective and a Potworowski exhibition called Piotr Potworowski: Man Without Borders), while the newly established Bar Studio, run by Grzegorz Lewandowski, has become a venue for important public debates and cultural events, combining all the various fields of art. Currently, the repertoire of Teatr Studio ranges from classic texts interpreted anew (eg. Marriage directed by Ivan Vyrypaev, and Wuthering Heights directed by Kuba Kowalski) to contemporary texts freshly revealed to a wider audience (eg. A Couple of Poor Polish-Speaking Romanians directed by Agnieszka Glińska, and Simultaneously directed by Łukasz Garlicki). The new strategy adopted by the theatre’s management has found wide support, in both the opinions of the audience and the responses of theatre professionals.
