Diabubu
They play old-time Polish melodies – mazurkas, obereks, kujawiaks, kujonnas and kujawions, polkas, tangos and foxtrots including Jewish melodies – in a way that leaves no doubt that this is living music, relevant to the here and now, effortlessly pouring dance energy into contemporary bodies and souls. And at the same time – as befits the Land of Lodz – somewhat restrained. They themselves feel more like its advocates than performers, saying: We like this music terribly, it is full of content, and at the same time economical in form, one could say – elegant. The band is made up of Bartosz Puliński (squeeze box), Jakub Stefanowicz (violin) and Jakub Korona (baraban and hoop drum).
