Dead Best Friend
When attending a Dead Best Friend show, observers are confronted with insane maltreatment of hands and strings. However, as one thoughtful being once put it: Dead Best Friend doesn't want to hurt, he just wants his dark thoughts to be heard. Equipped with nothing but a down-tuned acoustic guitar, his live act combines cathartic songwriting, technical complexity, and performance art. Jarring at first, stupendously unusual chords are repeated in steady, abrasive rhythms until the charming
dissonance grows familiar.
