Das Science Center Spectrum

The Science Center Spectrum is a house full of experiments - it invites you to explore basic phenomena from science and technology independently and playfully.

At more than 150 interactive experiment stations, visitors experience the basics of science and technology. The focus is on playing and marveling, looking and trying things out, and laughing and learning. A variety of links to the everyday world of experience and technology make experimentation a special experience for all age groups. Eight themed areas on four floors invite you into the world of experiments! Even for the youngest from the age of four, there is much to discover.

As an experience-oriented extracurricular place of learning, the Science Center Spectrum is in the tradition of the Berlin Urania from 1888 to 1928, which followed the ideas of Alexander von Humboldt. In 1983, it began its activities as an "experimental field" in the German Museum of Technology and moved into its own building in 1990. Thus, the Science Center Spectrum of the Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin is the most traditional and oldest existing science center in Germany.
