Dakhabrakha + support: Lavoisier
The Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha, which combines the music of several ethnic groups to create a specific form of world music, will play on 26 May 2019 in the Akropolis palace.
Dhakha Brakha, a cult band from Kyiv, has been able to create an original musical style of world music with roots in the Ukrainian folk song, using a combination of Indian, Arabic, African, Russian, and Australian instrumentals. Stylish boundaries and cosmopolitan ethnochaos interplay according to their own worlds. The group was founded in 2004 by the avant-garde theater director Vladislav Trojicki at the Center for Contemporary Art "DAKH". The very theatrical origin of the band left noticeable traces on all of their performances. They return to Prague after eight years. The start of the evening will be taken care of by the melancholic Portuguese support duo Lavoisier.
