Čiurlonis String Quartet
The Čiurlonis String Quartet was formed in 1968 and has a reputation as an extremely inventive and technically advanced collective. In 1990, the ensemble was one of the first to receive the prestigious Lithuanian National Arts and Culture Prize. The quartet has performed in Japan, France, Canada, USA, Mexico and China, among others. The ensemble pays special attention to the promotion of Lithuanian music. They have premiered works by such composers as: Feliksas Bajoras, Vytautas Barkauskas, Jurgis Juozapaitis, Diana Čemerytė.
