Catalin Jugravu
Experimental, Komédia | Catalin Jugravu, born in 1991 in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Romania, studied acting at The National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. He continued his studies with Prof. Dr. David Esrig at the Athanor Akademie in Bayern, Germany. Jugravu works in both film and theatre, presenting his work in prestigious theatres in Romania such as The National, Odeon and Nottara. In 2014, he was awarded the Cinema Debut Prize by the Romanian Filmmakers Association for his role in From Now On. He has lived in Berlin since 2015, acting in and directing independent english theatre productions such as Hedda (2015), The Maids (2016) und Gruesome Manifesto (2018). His work draws on gender inversion, drag performance, physical theater and multimedia content.
