Info o Bummelkasten
Bummelkasten is a Berlin one-man band from the children's music sector. The only member of the band is Bernhard Lütke, who was previously involved in comedy, film and theatre projects as an actor. He belongs to the Berlin artist group Karmanoia. For his children's music project Bummelkasten, Lütke produces all the instruments with his mouth and mixes them on the computer to create a sound carpet for his singing. At live performances he also works with a loop station.
With sophisticated lyrics and stubborn humour, Bummelkasten leans far out of the box and thus explores new artistic territory. But it is above all Bummelkasten's quirky characters that children get their money's worth from: Max, the escalator-riding toilet paper thief. Susi, the toughest of all princesses. Shiny, the fairy of lights, who treats herself to a trip through the solar system. Bulli Battmann, a nasty schoolyard terror, or Hausmeister Klaus, the smartest caretaker ever. In 2017, Bummelkasten released the debut album Irgendwas Bestimmtes.
Recently, Bummelkasten has performed his stage show at national music festivals such as Juicy Beats, for Das Erste at IFA or independent concerts such as in 2019 at Scala Ludwigsburg. His songs are now sometimes played on the radio outside of children's radio.
