BeFour
The band was founded in 2011 and from the beginning performs with the only allowed line-up: Kamila Tracewska-Mikołajczak, Karolina Piesik, Anna Komendzińska, Brygida Sawicka-Stępińska. It performs mainly a cappella vocal music and its greatest challenge is to work on the precision of the harmony of female voices. Its soloists have been writing their musical biographies for years, trying to be as professional amateurs as possible. BeFour draws on classical choral music, Latin American music, early music, folk music or popular music. It romances contemporary and electronic music, favours jazz and has a fondness for the old. It constantly looks for new musical spaces, constantly expanding its repertoire. The quartet willingly takes part in various vocal and vocal-instrumental music projects in Poland and abroad. It performs music of St. Hildegard, The Beatles as well as Andrzej Panufnik. She participates in the premieres of works by young Polish composers (Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Paulina Zujewska and Wojciech Krzyżanowski), but also focuses on her own arrangements and compositions.
