Bartosz Staromiejski
Polish jazz drummer, graduate of the Institute of Jazz and Popular Music at the Academy of Music in Katowice, scholarship holder at the Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. Winner of international jazz competitions, including (together with the GPS band) the first prize at the Jazz Juniors 2008. He has worked with, among others, Janusz Muniak, Maciej Sikała, Maciej Strzelczyk, Marek Bałata, Janusz Skowron, Tadeusz Leśniak, Jan Jarczyk, Siggy Davis, Iza Zając, Beata Przybytek. He moves freely in many musical styles, from mainstream jazz through latin and salsa to fusion, funk and pop music.
