BalkanArtz
BalkanArtz is a music project inspired by Romanian, Balkan, Hungarian and Gypsy music. It was created in 2015 from the combination of fascination and musical experience of Olga Bartosiewicz, Nikolay Nikolaev, Marcin Julius Szabó and Adam Hliniak. A little later, Laurențiu Căliman and Michal Radmacher joined the band. During the concerts of BalkanArtz, elements of folk music are combined with rock'n'roll, darbuka and cajon enter into dialogue with bass guitar, accordion competes with electric guitar, and next to lively Romanian songs lyrical sevdalinks resound. The second part of the band's name refers to the Hungarian word "Arc", which means "face" - and this is how BalkanArtz, combining traditional sounds with modern arrangements, shows the listeners a new face of Balkan music.
