Atanas Valkov

Atanas Valkov - Polish composer of Bulgarian descent, pianist, drummer and music producer raised in Lublin. He won the main prize in the 7th edition of the Berlinale Score Competition, he was nominated for the European Talent Award in Cologne. He draws inspiration from various sources: Polish and Balkan folklore, electronic music, contemporary music and jazz. Original compositions of Atanas are appreciated in Poland and in the world. He is the creator of the arrangement and producer of the album Transorietnal Orchestra Kayah, for which he received a platinum album. In cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) he produced the album Ambition. Atanas Valkov is also a recognized composer of film music. In Poland, he created music for the film Ostatnia Rodzina and Deep Love by Jan P. Matuszyński, the series Bodo, directed by Michał Kwieciński and Belfer. He composed music for Polish Legends - Allegro - a series of short films directed by Tomasz Bagiński, which combines motifs of ethnic legends with modern film language in a science-fiction and fantasy convention. He took part in the production of Andrzej Wajda Zwięzła kronika czasu, Ambicji and _Czerna Polana by T. Bagiński.
