Arturas Bumšteinas
Arturas Bumšteinas is an experimenting artist who has been working with sound and music since the end of the 1990s. The artist believes in the utopia of "Higgins' intermedialism" and is an outsider in all artistic disciplines. Despite this, the musician constantly implements his ideas and concepts in the context of concerts, performances, exhibitions, radio broadcasts, theater performances and music publishing, while also performing the role of artistic director of the Jauna Muzika festival, which takes place in April every year in Vilnius. His musical and artistic projects were commissioned and presented by renowned events and places, such as Holland Festival, Unsound, Tectonics, Skanumezs, Kody, Ultraschall, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Cricoteka, Operomanija, Center for Contemporary Art in Vilnius, Galera Vartai and MO Museum. In 2017, the artist was a guest of the prestigious residence of artists Berliner Künstlerprogramme des DAAD.
