Arananar is a duo formed by Adam 'Aran' Nenadál and Anar Badalov – who live in Prague and rural Colorado, respectively. Arananar's music has been described as dark, economical, icy and mysterious. Their songs evoke an atmospheric gloomy aura, similar to the deft bass lines of Young Marble Giants, the carnal electronica of Suicide and the poetry of Czech Romantic poet Karel Hynek Mácha. Fuzzy textures float above rushing acoustic bass lines and delicate piano melodies.
