Apartment House

Apartment House, a London group founded in 1995, performs various types of contemporary and experimental music. Its founder and director is cellist, composer and improviser Anton Lukoszevieze. In 2011, Apartment House presented the music of John Cage at Queen Elizabeth Hall. In 2012, they received the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Outstanding Contribution to Chamber Music and Song. The group recorded, among others for BBC radio and broadcasting stations in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria and France. Their work is directed to different types of audience. They occur not only in traditional music halls and at festivals, but also in cafes and galleries. In addition to the world stage performances that began more than 20 years ago, the group conducts less traditional activities - like an experimental course in the French Pyrenees.
