Anja Panse
Anja Panse was born in 1976 in Gera, Thuringia. After completing her acting training at the Rostock Academy of Music and Theatre, she performed at various theatres, including the Volkstheater Rostock, the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, the Staatstheater Kassel and the Teatr Polski in Poznan, Poland. From 2006 to 2009 she was an ensemble member at the Theater Konstanz. Here she dramatised and directed Alessandro Barricco's novel Silk. Further directorial works followed, including two world premieres of her own plays. Most recently she directed Harold and Maude by Colin Higgins and Maxim Gorky's Nachtasyl. Anja Panse has been working as a freelance director and actress since 2009.
