Alejandro Molinari
Alejandro Molinari is a Venezuelan musician, DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin. He started making music in 2010 when he moved to Mexico City and discovered the local techno scene. Here is where the roots of Molinari's distinctive sound lie, an energetic fusion of new wave, dark disco and Shaman music. His career has led him to perform at places such as Berlin's KaterBlau or the Parisian club La Gare de Mines. He does not only play DJ sets but also performs as a live act with analog gear and an unmistakable voice.
Molinari's music and remixes have been released on labels such as NEIN Records, Playground Records or Roam Recordings. His influences come from esoteric topics and supernatural phenomenons. He draws references to genres like post punk, cold wave, techno or dark disco but also to world music, coloring his sound with visionary vibes. His tracks are often multilingual, with vocals in English, French, Spanish and German.
In 2016 Molinari released his first EP, Break The Bricks, through the Japanese Blindetonation imprint. Not much later, the track Peso Muerto brought him to wide critical acclaim. In 2018, he released his Gargantua EP on NEIN Recordings, with two tracks making it to the Beatport charts. Besides, he has been a part of the Fugitive project.
