Alan Balcerowski
Alan Balcerowski began his saxophone studies at the State Music Schools in Świętokrzyskie and Kielce. He graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in Maciej Sikola's saxophone class, receiving his Master of Arts degree in 2019. He continues his studies at his Alma Mater, studying jazz flute and at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, specialising in composition with arrangement. He plays soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, as well as transverse flute, alto and piccolo flute, and clarinet and bass clarinet. In 2020, he founded the Alan Balcerowski Quintet, performing compositions by the leader. He has played at various festivals, including the Old Jazz Meeting Złota Tarka, Zakopane Jazz Spring, Bydgoszcz Jazz Festival, Toffifest International Film Festival, Nova Music and Architecture International Festival. In addition to performing, he is also active as a pedagogue.
