Wisborg

Formed in early 2017, Wisborg create haunting music that draws from elements of dark wave and post-punk. Visually, they are influenced by the aesthetics of the German silent movie era.

After writing and recording nine tracks for an album during the same year, the band released a music video for Becoming Caligari and started playing live, opening for bands like She Past Away, Der Fluch or TV Smith & The Bored Teenagers.

In early 2018, Wisborg signed to Danse Macabre Records and released a lyric video for their second single The Sick Rose. Their debut album The Tragedy Of Seconds Gone came out on April 27th. Prior to its release, the record already reached number three of the German Alternative Charts. Due to this unexpected success, Wisborg were added to the line up of Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2018 just four days before the start of the festival.
