Whitney

Whitney is an American band from Chicago, which was formed in 2015. Its members and roommates Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich decided to form the band after their former band Smith Westerns broke up in 2014. During 2015, Whitney released their song No Matter Where We Go and played various concerts, mostly in support of other artists. During that period of time, they got into contact with the producer Jonathan Rado and released their second single No Woman in 2016.

Their debut album entitled Light Upon the Lake came out in June 2016 and Whitney firstly headlined a European tour. In 2017, the band released a demo album with a previously unreleased song You and Me and also two cover songs, You've Got a Woman and Gonna Hurry (As Slow as I Can). Whitney announced a second album due in 2019 with the lead single Giving Up that came out in June 2019.
