UT Connewitz
The UT Connewitz is the oldest preserved theater in Leipzig and one of the oldest in Germany. The abbreviation "UT" stands for "Union-Theater". In the 80s, the location was often used for youth consecration celebrations and punk concerts of the GDR punk scene. Today, in the listed building, medium-sized and small concerts, theatrical performances and readings take place in addition to the extensive cinema program.
