United Forces of Dub
United Forces of Dub is a respected collective on Czech dub scene. They have been setting the pace of dub events for several years organizing popular club evenings and genuine sound system dances. Selectors and producers Yukimura aka Mustakillah Sound, Wild-I aka Dubble-U and Red-I also participate in the Prague's multi-genre sound system Roots'n'Future. The voice of United Forces of Dub is represented by african singer Ras Jahdone from Ghana.
They have cooperated with leading foreign artists on reggae and dub scene: Vibronics, Echo Ranks, Madu Messenger, Mr. Parvez aka Dub Factory, Bush Chemists, The Disciples, Jonah Dan, Dubateers, Iration Steppas, Jah Free, RDK Hi-Fi, Radikal Dub Kolektiv, Kenny Knots, Culture Freeman or YT. With the same enthusiasm UFoD supports local projects as well. In the beginings on well established night "Dub the Capital" they gave regularly an opportunity to other local selectors as well as producers like Dub Liberation Front, Ngomau or Studio Ajar. Various experiences have brought an idea of gathering and moving shattered Czech dub scene under one solid and original label therefore foundation of a record label has been a natural conclusion. Its purpose is mainly opening the door to local artists with help of akin established and uncommon foreign artists. Leitmotiv of UfoD label still remains what is implicated in the name of their mother sound system Roots'n'Future - the will to bring roots and tradition into the present and create the future.
