Trip to Nižbor – Excursion to the Rückl Glassworks

The Rückl glassworks is located in the Central-Bohemian city of Nižbor, occupying the picturesque valley of river Berounka. The close vicinity to the Czech capital and the two exceptional local castles – Karlštejn and Křivoklát – make it a perfect destination of trips and excursions. The guide of Rückl will be either its art director, Rony Plesl, or the representative of the young generation of Czech designers, Lukáš Novák. Either of them will introduce the visitors to the traditional methods and the individual stages of glassmaking. They will explain and present every single step of making crystal, the art of mouth-blown glass, the process of quality control and the craftsmanship of the our cutters.
