The Journeys of Antonín Dvořák

The permanent exhibition documents the composer’s life and focuses on the journeys he made. In his time, Dvořák was one of the greatest Czech globetrotters. The museum’s visitors can accompany the famous artist on his journeys from his native Nelahozeves to Prague, throughout Europe, to America and back home to Bohemia. The experience is mediated by means of modern graphics and, primarily, authentic personal items, including Dvořák’s glasses, viola, piano, furniture from his study, the gown he wore hen receiving an honorary degree from Cambridge University, commemorative wreaths and other personal effects.
