The Visit

This universal play The Visit, written by the Swiss playwright Friedrich Dürrenmatt, grotesquely deals with the power of money, the weaknesses of mankind, and the lifelong injustice caused by one bad decision by a young person. In this play, Dürrenmatt deals with possible realities, and that is why we want the characters in our concept to appear as familiar as possible. The aim of the play is to invite the young, contemporary spectator to consider social passivity, life on credit, or false humanism. Simultaneously, it speaks about the need for personal commitment, bravery, and conscience. Dürrenmatt's fast-paced play enables us to stage these relatively difficult matters with ease and ironic humor, and thus we believe that the play will give impetus for thought as well as an interesting theatre experience.
