During this CTM evening, Berghain offers the location for a hybrid concert and stage reading of Inuk throat singer, avant-garde composer and author Tanya Tagaq. With guttural sounds and a sensual performance, Tagaq covers genres and scenes such as industrial, metal and electronica on her albums and EPs Animism, Retribution and Toothsayer with an immediate urgency. She has been working with musicians such as Ash Koosha, Damian Abraham, Björk, Kronos Quartet and Mike Patton since 2014.

Today, she reads from her acclaimed debut novel, Split Tooth, which changes back and forth between dark aspects of a small arctic settlement, the close world of animals and ravishing mystic. The reading becomes a full stage performance and live show step by step, with Tagaq's vocals opening a world, in which the boundaries between good and bad, human and animal, victim and villain, disappear honestly and imaginatively and lose their meaning while the power of love stays.

CTM festival curator Opium Hum opens the evening with a DJ set, after the show an avantgradistic-electronic live act by Morphine Records head Rabih Beaini follows.
