The synagogue is a rare architectural monument of the city, registered in the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Slovak Republic. It is located in the monument and protection zone of the city monument reserve. It was built in the years 1910-1911 according to the project of Leopold Baumhorn in the Moorish-Byzantine style on the initiative of the Nitra congress religious community Yesurum. It is an example of an eclectic sacral building, imitating Byzantine and Oriental architecture. Inspiration by oriental styles gives this building an attractive architectural expression.
