Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from New York. He plays various instruments such as banjo, guitar, organ, piano, oboe, saxophone, drums, flute and accordion. His music is located between the genres of folk, indie and independent.

The multi-talented artist released his first album A Sun Came in 2000. This was followed by new albums almost every year. In 2005 he received the New Pantheon Award for his album Illinois, beating Kings of Leon or Arcade Fire. The seventh studio album Carrie & Lowell, in which Stevens refers to his difficult childhood and the death of his mother, was released in 2015 and was considered by critics as one of the best albums of the year. His track Mystery Of Love from the film Call Me by Your Name was nominated for an Oscar in 2018.
