Sépie z hor
Sépie z hory is a "modern jazz" band of four experienced musicians, formed since 2019 by playing at Czech festivals, clubs and busking on the streets of Berlin. In 2022, the band has settled on a line-up of bass guitar, saxophone (+ Ewi wind synthesizer), violin and drums. The instrumentally advanced musicians move nimbly between genres during their concerts, keeping the original groove, Sépia from the Mountains' music moves from jazz to other genres, using electronic effects and original instrumentation to create the band's completely unique sound.
The music is based on improvisation, experimentation and elaboration of recurring motifs. Sepia from the Mountains is unique and changeable. The live performances of the visibly matched musicians exude an elemental energy and inspiration. In 2022, the band released its first album, Děj se vůle soží, and is working on a new recording in 2024. Among the festivals the band played at Povaleč, Beseda u Bigbítu, Vlčkovice fest, Slavonice fest, Otevřeno Jimramov, Tužina Groove, Podzimní snění and others.
