New Wave
The New Wave presents and raises the profile of current artistic tendencies in the visual arts. The main mission of the organization is to promote the younger and middle generation of Slovak and European artists.
The headquarters of the organization, where the largest part of the exhibition plan is realized, are the premises of the Loft Studio, which functions in parallel as an exhibition space and an architectural studio. The choice of an unconventional location outside the city center, located on the site of the former Merina factory, once a well-known wool processing plant, is by no means random. With reference to the cultural tradition of this part of the city, the organization also tries to draw attention to its possible potential in the context of further urban development of the city in a direct and indirect way.
