Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.)

The Neue Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), founded in 1969 in Berlin, is a site of contemporary art and discourse production dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art.

In 1970, the n.b.k. founded one of the first and nowadays largest art libraries in Germany, which comprises a collection of over 4,000 works of international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. In addition, the n.b.k. founded a collection of video art in 1970, which nowadays comprises more than 1,600 works. Both collections are open to the public and provide space for experimental art education and cultural education.

The association is currently run by Marius Babias. With its wide range of exhibitions, events and publications, the n.b.k. offers an insight into contemporary art and its latest developments.
