Nakury
Nakury is a Costa Rica rap musician, documentary director, cultural manager and activist. In her engaged art, she and her colleagues from the music project "Somos Guerreras" (We Are Warriors) focus on feminist questions. Nakury began her career in the hip-hop scene with graffiti and breakdancing, until she became more and more fascinated by the world of Rhymes. She is now one of the leading rappers in Central America, she has toured through Central America and the US, has also appeared at festivals in Europe and produced hip-hop sets for the BBC. Nakury organises one of the largest hip hop festivals in Central America with her production company Union Break. She also directed the documentary film Somos Guerreras (2014).
