Moravia Brass Band
The Moravia Brass Band is the largest brass orchestra in the Czech Republic andthe resident ensemble of the Brno Brass Fest festival. The 30-member ensemble,led by renowned conductors, focuses on original programs, its own arrangements, and collaborations with exceptional guests.Since its founding in 2017, it has performed at prestigious domestic andinternational festivals, and in 2020 it was the first brass band to perform at Dvořák Hall in the Rudolfinum. It collaborates with conductors such as Chuhei Iwasaki, Robert Kružík, Heiko Mathias Förster, and horn player Radek Baborák.Its repertoire includes classical and film compositions as well as original workswritten specifically for the orchestra. MBB is also dedicated to educating and popularizing brass instruments among young listeners.Dramaturgy and production are provided by Prokoncert. The orchestra has released two CDs and presents world premieres every year.
